I have also been using the same transcode/vid.stab option you are using for
my own family's skiing and snow-boarding movies (and using slowmovideo to
make slowmotion movies of it : http://slowmovideo.granjow.net/).
Also a few simple bash scripts that accepts some parameters and does its
magic.
