I've also tried adjusting individual frames when converting from RAW
format; can also adjust whitepoint, color balance, etc. Export the
adjusted images as 16-bit TIFF and use those in Hugin. Sometimes that
fixes lighting discrepancies.
Another possibility is to export a set of frames from the single source
RAW image by adjusting the exposure so one is optimized for the darks,
others for mids, other(s) for highs. Then use those in Hugin.
Finally, it could just be that the bright pixels in the image are just
completely blown (my Minolta tends to do that).
Anything helpful in the above?

with 2013 version of hugin as well as the newest versions of both.
I am on windows 7
I have tried include masks on the dark version and it makes no difference.
I have run out of ideas and would greatly appreciate any thoughts or
suggestions.
