Hugin uses the vigra impex library for image file handling, but then vigra uses
the standard libpng for PNG. So I would check to see if vigra is linked to
libpng.

Are you running the Windows version on freebsd using Wine? This should work,
but opengl problems wouldn't be unexpected.
