Hi~ I encountered the same problem as you did. After a deep analysis, a found out that the most time-consuming step of autooptimiser is from lmdif.c of libpano. This file does Levenberg-Marquardt optimisation to find out the relative and absolute positions of the panorama. in the algorithm the program needs to calculate the Jacobian Matrix and QR decomposition of the Jacobian Matrix. Unfortunately the fdjac2() and qrfac() are single-threaded. fdjac2() is easy to parallize and I already did, however the parallization of qrfac() is not easy and I'm sitll working. To access the fdjac2() parallized version, please visit https://github.com/xelmirage/libpano-multithread
