I found the earlier thread from last week on stacking images of stars

I want to stack both the images as is. and after aligning then so the stars are lined up.

I added an exclusion mask to all the images but the control points are not added from the stars but the ground instead underneath the exclusion mask. Is the mask suppose to exclude where control points are placed?
