Having full disk access is not the only point. Hugin is not released via the App store and not via a registered developer. That's also why the MacOS Gatekeeper software is blocking it. You have to right-click every app bundle, click on open and MacOS will test the contents, say something about the risks, and asks if it can open it. After that it works OK, also with upgrades. I do cross-platform open-source development as well and I hate the MacOS policy and am therefore not a registered developer and certainly not release via the App Store, so my app has the same issue.
