Fine, so it didn't work. Why don't you just zip the PTO and images and
mail them to me? I'll have a look.
The 2 image PTO is from my living room with a lot of "small rubbish" in
there to test on parallax on short distances. I am not going to share
that one ;)
You can still share the PTO, I may be able to see from it what's amiss.
And then there's pto_gen (I think that's what it was called) to replace
a PTO's images with dummy images. When it comes to parallax, note what I
wrote further down about which parameters lux does process. Your image
set should be parallax-free.
Donald Johnson shared a number of downloadable pano sets for multiblend
in this post
<https://groups.google.com/g/hugin-ptx/c/pRFIe_77yvo/m/UIuYlJlrDwAJ>.
Or directly:
https://ln2.sync.com/dl/f27685a80/392a24qm-7uudw2mp-4vzsr5eg-qaj852qx
I downloaded the three-image alaska 'panorama'. It uses translation
parameters, which lux does not process, hence the failure. The image is
not a panorama: The three partials have been taken from different
positions, always facing the facades, probably several meters apart.
It's an attempt to create a 'street view-like' image mosaic from a 3D
scene (dodgy, mosaics are for 2D content), hence the translation
parameters to attempt a fit, which works okay-ish because the facades
are roughly in-plane.
lux follows the panorama paradigm: all images should be taken from the
same spot. That's why you use panorama heads and parallax-free technique.
lux only processes source projection, fov, yaw, pich, roll, lens
correction parameters a, b, c, d and e and vignetting correction
parameters Va, Vb, Vc, Vd, Vx and Vy.
If the 'live stitch' in lux does not show the images as you'd expect,
the B&A algorithm won't make it any better.
...
So it only takes image 0 and 1, and then still delivers a black image.
I can confirm here that I get black JPG and TIF output, which seems to
be a bug. I'll investigate that and post again once I've found what's
amiss. Strangely enough, with exr output, I get the expected result.
Please bear with me.
It is already a great reassurance that loading an aligned, exposed pto
or ini, and pressing "p" is the right thing to do.
It *should* be.
Unfortunately for me not with the desired results.
We'll get it sorted out, don't you worry. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Try a 'true' panorama for a change, if you like I can send you one.
