The functionality now works great.
I will create a 1.0.8 mac bundle.

Thanks! I'm quite happy with 1.0.8 myself - I've done a bit of tweaking in the meantime which will make stitching/fusing a bit faster, but that's just a performance issue, the functionality in 1.0.8 should be just fine.

Did you notice the 'snap-to-fuse' in 1.0.8? Like, if you open the bracket (br.pto) in lux interactively, after a little while the 'proper' exposure fusion is displayed on-screen. It's calculated in the background, that's why it isn't displayed immediately (the proper fusion takes some time to compute), and if you change the view the normal hdr-blended image is displayed briefly until the viewer is at rest again, but I think it's a great help:

- if the bracket doesn't look good, no point rendering it to full size
- if it looks good, you may want to only render a section with 'U'
- if you want the rendition to the PTO's p-line, just press 'Shift+U'

We discussed my folder-based workflow, which works great with the new feature: I just make separate folders for all brackets, then I call lux like

lux */*.pto

On my system, the 'snap-to-fuse' is even so fast that I don't bother producing fused output - I just look at the PTOs for the brackets, never mind the short delay.
