Hello.

When importing EXR into Hugin, the image preview in the control point tab 
shows the image as generally black whenever there is a strong light source 
present in the image, e. g. the sun.

This hinders manual placement of control points, when necessary. Images 
without strong contrasts are unaffected. Control point cursor shows local 
contrasts normally.

A cause of this could be that Hugin compresses the entire contrast range 
into an 8bit preview linearly. Adding a strong gamma curve to previews 
could solve this. The effect appears in the photos tab as well.
