I cannot test the result because the windows installer is questionable (2025.0 RC1). See attached image. Why does hugin depend on NI programs (National Instruments LabVIEW)? Hugin does not depend on NI programs. Hugin does need the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170 to run and the installer does install these files. The NI program are probably compiled with the same compiler and therefore needs the the same Visual C++ Redistributables. The installer contains these files since 2016, until now nobody complained. I could remove these files from the installer but then the user had to install these files by hand otherwise Hugin does not run and it will show a cryptic errror message - which would not be so nice user experience for casual users. You can inspect the msi installer by yourself and check/extract the files in it.
