Dear Andy (at least I guess so seeing as you handled my last
bug report)
Ive probably just forgotten to set an environment
variable or something, but whenever I try to load any module that imports any
other, I get this error message. This includes the standard demos and
Fran (not just my goofy code) irrespective of whether the import is in the
same directory as the module Im loading or the working directory of hugs.
It applies to winhugs too (I'm running NT.) It didnt happen before a
couple of nights ago when I upgraded to hugs95 from 1.4 (I think.)
I thought maybe the syntax for imports had changed, but then
at least the standard demos would have changed too wouldn't they?
Theres a logical explanation for everything,
right.
In the mean time I am ploughing through the report like you
told me and occasionally mellowing out with Simon Thompsons book, which is also
great for evangelising with. Ive come to the conclusion that the best way
to learn this language is to punch something into hugs and try to decypher the
error message that comes back.
Adrian.
