| Hi guys, I have a quick question. I'm sorry to be using this as a support
| line (if it turns out that it's not) but I was wondering if there is any way
| to install the gofer commands (like hitting the up arrow to input the last
| thing you typed in, or being ablr to use the backspace button) into hugs.
| Just wondering. If there is, please tell me how to do this.
Support for command line editing in both Gofer and Hugs is provided by
linking in an external library called readline or editline when you
build the interpreter. (Or by using a purpose built mechanism in the
Windows GUI versions.) There are instructions for this in the installation
instructions, and in the Makefile (for Hugs 1.3, at least).
I could only find readline mentioned in the documents for Hugs 1.4, which
is a pity because editline is much smaller, and provides the same core
functionality.
All the best,
Mark
