None at all.
runhugs was a relatively quick hack to generate a batch mode system.
Plans are afoot to make a clearer separation between the user
interface, the compiler and the evaluator in which case oddities like
this would go away. (I'm not sure when the plans will actually turn into
reality though...)
If it's doing any harm, you should rerun configure, remake runhugs and
(manually) copy runhugs into your binary directory.
