| There are two solutions for this:

Add a third: use the -e command line option for Hugs, which turns off
the checks for literate script errors like this.
| * Swap the two preprocessing stages as GHC does.
Not particularly attractive, because the delit process is integrated
with lexical analysis in Hugs, and teasing these apart to include
some (portable) redirection to an external preprocessor would be
messy.
