I am using Hugs 1.4 (970410, not the most recent one) with Japanese input. The trace function (or possibly show) does not seem to like displaying some strings, probably the ones with the top bit set. I get: Program error: PreludeList.!!: negative index This happens on a PC using hugs compiled with gcc. I don't know if it will show up on Unix: I think there are different assumptions about whether characters are signed. -- David _______________________________________________________________________ David Elworthy <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Canon Research Centre Europe Ltd., Guildford, Surrey, UK URL: http://www.cre.canon.co.uk/ Phone: +44 1483 448844; Fax: +44 1483 448845
