There appears to be a problem with loadBitmap in the latest version of
hugs (v 971031). I tried the following program:

runG s = runGraphics $ do w <- openWindow "win" (300,300)
                          (bmp,sz) <- loadBitmap s
                          setPicture w (stretchBitmap (0,0) (100,100)
bmp)
                          getKey w
                          return ()

It works on hugs v970719, whether the file s exists or not. (The window
immediately closes if s does not exist.)

On the new version of hugs whether the the bitmap file exists or not,
hugs itself immediately terminates, without doing anything.
Hope I'm not doing anything daft?

(This is on Windows NT 4.0, with hugs971031.zip)

Cheers
  Meurig
