Dear Reader,
I tried to install hugs version 1.4 with plugins
for a Solaris (SunOS 5.5) machine
but ran into problems.
I first ran configure with the following options.
configure --with-plugins --prefix=/users/cosc/paddy/hugs/hugs
While `making install` it executed the following command
gcc -shared -nostdlib -o Xlib.so Xlib.o -L/usr/openwin/lib -R
/usr/openwin/lib -lX11 -lnsl -lsocket
which after pages of messages terminated with the error
ld: fatal: relocations remain against allocatable but non-writable sections
Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.
