It's not on the official export list for Haskell 1.4 so it's not exported from the Hugs prelude. The idea behind this is that someone might have a perfectly good GHC/HBC/NHC program that defines their own foldl' function which wouldn't run on Hugs if Hugs exported its own foldl'. This is an especially big deal with the Prelude because Haskell requires us to silently import the Prelude into every single module. Alastair
