It would have been nice if you could have posted a follow up to the
mailing list!  That would have saved those of us who look into bug
reports some time, and it might also have reassured other users that
they needn't worry about the bug report.  Thanks!

I'm inclined to agree, but I doubt that it would have done anything
to help in this case.  It wouldn't be sensible to produce a new version
of the report every time an error was noticed.  That would require a lot
of work, and would make it hard for any of us to be sure that we had
the most recent version.  So even if there were periodic revisions
of the report, we'd still need some kind of errata list to record any
intermediate changes or fixes.
