Hi there, did you perchance upgrade to XP in that period? The upgrader/installer for XP doesn't quite manage to correctly convert the user-specific Registry options for Hugs.
Even if that's not the case, the underlying problem is most likely Registry related. http://galois.com/~sof/hugs/PowerToys.html has got a utility for resetting the user-specific Hugs :settings. I believe (and hope) that it will get you going again. hth --sigbjorn (For the 'regedit' savvy, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Haskell\Hugs\ contains the keys that the 'restore' utility will delete Options values from.) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mordechai (Moti) Ben-Ari" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, October 31, 2002 23:26 Subject: winhugs window disappears > Hello > > I have used hugs98 with the winhugs gui for a couple of weeks with no problem. > Suddenly, every time i try to run it, the window flashes briefly and disappears. > Running hugs.exe from a command line still works. > I tried uninstalling/rebooting/reinstalling, to no avail. > My system is windows xp. > Any ideas? > > Thanks > > Moti > > Prof. Moti Ben-Ari > Department of Science Teaching, Weizmann Institute of Science > and > Department of Computer Science > University of Joensuu > PO Box 111, FIN-80101 Joensuu, Finland > Tel: +358-13-251-7951, Fax: -7955 > mailto:moti.ben-ari@;cs.joensuu.fi > http://cs.joensuu.fi/~moti > _______________________________________________ Hugs-Bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.haskell.org/mailman/listinfo/hugs-bugs
