There is an archive of old versions of Hugs that might be what you are
looking for. It is available from:
http://www.cse.ogi.edu/~mpj/hugsarc/
I'm guessing that either version 1.3b or 1.3c are most likely to meet
your needs. Note, however, that both of these versions predate Haskell 98.
I've asked the maintainers of the web pages to add this link to the main
Hugs pages. I hope that it will appear there soon.
