Headcold AGAIN. Ears blocked, right one moreso. Last night I had a Hum - not a pure tone as previously, but more and microwave oven motor/fan - steady and continuous. Would stop if I yawned widely. Gone when I woke this morning. My normal hf rhs tinnitus also elevated.
At the same time I have the usual bass-lift that comes with blocked ears. Remember I mentioned that machine tool some distance away from my studio ? Well this morning at home I could hear this "whooom whooom whooom" sound. Transpired to be my boy's footsteps downsatirs, getting his gear ready for a hike. And then a "whuuuuuuuumph, pause, whuuuuumph....". I finally correlated this one o gusts of wind outside ( blustery morning). Not sure if the LF was from the wind hitting the house, or to do with the instantaneous pressure changes. Am squirting Flixonase into sinous cavity to try and reduce blockage. Not looking forward to car road noise this morning as it will be particularly 'drumming'. My original dose of Hum 8 (?) years ago was not a result of a specific blockage like this though - and I have assume stress and lack of sleep were (at least) factors.. geoff --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hum Sufferers" group.
