Mattty,,that recording sounds just like an engine, as stated. My hum is much more subtle and no overtones- plus it's not continuous. I don't think this noise would be other than generally irritating to many- as it's been identified for what it is. It is possible that the very low frequecies could travel further by unknown mechanisms- but that still wouldn't explain the on/off nature of many experiencers -nor would this one instance traverse the world.
