Echoes of 'On the Beach' here (Novel- N Shute)
There, a post nuclear apocalypse left a morse key tapping out random
code. A curtain blowing in the wind.
There was a recent radio play on R4 (UK) based on this....very well
done- and also pretty sad.
Not just about the story line -of lost hope and loves...but about the
supremely sorry condition of humanity to be reduced to such a sorry
end.

Maybe, Dee, you are feeling likewise threatened by the unknown
directions technology is taking us.
Feeling so bothered in your own patch is most definitely NOT a good
thing.
Maybe you should have a location break away from these effects you get
in your last point of refuge?
Even a caravan is an option- if fitted with a externally vented low
level gas heating system for this cold spell.
