Last year I wrote a mail to you about my experience with the HUM and my 
attempts to deal with it.
Today I would like to update you with remarkable results of what I have started 
to test in summer 2008.
Since that time I try to STRICTLY AVOID ANY FOOD THAT MAY CONTAIN IODINE 
- reason was my specific thyroid situation (not the HUM!) 
This sounds easy, as you may think of fish and sea salt first.
But in Germany nowadays most food contains iodine.
In 1998 Germany has decided by law to add iodine to all animal food 
to ensure that iodine is there at the source of food processing.
As a result any dairy product (milk, butter, cheese, yoghurt etc. ) 
and any meat from conventional animal breeding contains high amounts of iodine 
- but generally no one is aware of this. 
Almost EVERY type of CONVENIENCE FOOD is salted with iodine salt. 
Almost ALL RESTAURANTS and CANTEENS use iodine salt. Almost ALL BREAD is baked 
with iodine salt.
High doses of IODINE CAUSE symptoms such as HEART RACING, HEAT WAVES ETC, which 
are also typical for the HUM. 
Since I try to avoid ALL potential iodinated food (which means vegan style food 
only and always being extra careful) 
my health condition is much better, and amazing enough 
- THE HUM SOUND WENT DOWN TO VERY LESS!
- SOMETIMES IT IS ALMOST NOT AUDIBLE!
- Typical symptoms such as Tachycardia etc. have come down to quite well 
endurable 
Just wanted to update you with this.
This will - of course - not apply to everyone, but it may help a few - and that 
is very good already. 
I just saw that on your site there is more input on diet.
Best to combine them (even if finding something proper to eat becomes a real 
challenge .)
