Here is an interesting site that publishes the electron flux density
on a daily basis.
Hum sufferers may like to compare these readings to their own
experience of variations in Hum level.

I am at present conducting some experiments to see if there is a
relation between Hum level, buildings and electron density.
As is well known, buildings play a dominant role in the perception of
the Hum, indeed, the majority of sufferers cannot hear it at all
outside.
However, those who can hear it outside may like to try the following
test.
Go to an open field where the Hum can be heard, then lay flat on the
ground, after a short delay of a few seconds the Hum will completely
disappear but will reappear on returning to a standing position.
The important point to note is that these events do not take place
when the Hum is experienced inside of a building.
