Dee- don't conflate these two things. I don't want to get into the old Tinnitus stuff which this is touching on. Please read what I say.You know who 'You Kniow Who' is, full well [585 similar posts ]. Because physical effects can occur with or without hum means that unless we know what causes hum we can't say which. This is not to say they can't make hum worse of even eradicate it- no one knows. Chasing every bit of info is not clarifying much, tbh- a general sufferer support and consensus of what can contribute to expalaining/ dealing with hum is quite helpful in its place. If there was evidence of direct cause of tinnitus and hum it would be out by now.
