Try this for size:

On a power line 7.2-138KV, then try a 802.15e ZigBee 956MHz or
meshWiFi 934MHz protocol signal "piggy backed" onto a 40MHz carrier
wave in/on the power lines at 10KW minimum so "they" can shoot it 5
miles before repeaters are needed. After 5 miles, when the electrical
power sine wave distorts due to harmonics, band-pass filters, in the
form of large 3-phase, 6-pole, 6-1/2 pole, pole-mouted capacitor
banks, remove harmonic attenuation. However, due to commutation,
interharmonics are introduced which react with the power sine wave
causing subharmonics - The noise you and I hear. Add all of the above
together which reflects, radiates, and attenuates from the power lines
finding its way into lower voltage lines and your house wiring -
Louder Hum, microwaves.

I have been working on this for nearly a year. I am in contact with
many, many people (Hearers and others) from around the USA and around
the globe, some of them are smarter than you and I. I have the data
to prove what I state and will nail "them" in court quite shortly.
This is a highly complex technical issue that is comprised of more
than one facet. I've nailed them all down. You don't "walk around" to
nail down a problem like this one. You eliminate and research using
the most highly technologically advanced methods and equipment that is
out there. My research has also led to my being able to ease the
physical and mental reactions, but this stuff we're experiencing gets
everywhere.

I am not sensitive. I am THE most unfazable guy on the planet. I've
probably been around the planet more times than you've had hot dinners
automating everything that there is to automate, mate. Prior to that I
did Special Forces snake-eater stuff. The only thing that I haven't
done is leave the Earth's atmosphere.

1) PG&E suck badly and they ain't telling the likes of you and I what
they are doing. "They" also know that the general public are to pig-
headed to get together into any kind of organized group that would
agree on a single fix for this "thing". 2) People no hear, no care. 3)
Government agencies have been convinced that the public's derogatory
reactions to this crap are "trivial" - So no help there.

So, you go ahead with the trains. I'll stick to my research findings
and data.

Trev - I'm going to give it that rest I promised myself now. Take a
look at the Sound Analysis software, it's good, and don't forget to
calibrate your input mic - There's even a Test button for you to do it
in the dialog box!
