Vic, I have read your hum busted posts - nice work. I am ready to move forward with trying to record acoustical signature. Have a friend that is ex-Micron engineer and agrees that transmitting broadband over copper power lines that do not have proper insulating sheath to ground signal will "leak" and depending on the frequency the EM emissions can travel quite far (hope I am using correct terminology as I am novice). My plan is to present complaint to my PUB and also utility and Verizon but need to do preliminary work and build my case. My son is 9 years old and is constantly tired and short term memory deficits. Again severe abdominal pain 2nights ago. The hum has settled down into a regular nightly pattern. Not pulsing anymore, just steady drone all night with vibration. Curiously I can hear it clearly at my house but not at homes one mile away. Something carries I to my home but not theirs. Two other people I work with hear it and a third man has only felt vibration. Will try to gather group of locals and document their experiences. You mention that you know technique to dampen the effects for some relief. Would very much like to learn more. Does anyone think the recent mass bird deaths are connected to these hums? Also reports of sonic booms around Chicago and southeast. I think it is very comforting to read all of these posts from my fellow humlings but from my perspective it's time to act up! My squeaky wheels are getting ready to roll.
