For the past two years I have used a device to detect and measure the intensity
of the Hum.

It comprises a small vibrating mass which is modelled on the cilla of the human
inner ear.

I have recently received an email from a person who is badly effected by the
Hum and who happens to be a musician who plays a clarinet. She informed me that
at times when the Hum is at a very high level her instrument does not play
properly.

Apparently this happens in churches and I know from personal experience that
some churches can produce Hum of horrendous level.

The clarinet is an instrument which functions on the principle of a vibrating
reed there exists therefore the possibility that the energy responsible for
producing the Hum can also effect the movement of the reed in a musical
instrument.

I am making a request to hear from any musician who has experienced an
unexplained failure of their instrument at various times and venues.
