Many hear it right out in the country. >From memory weekends aren't over reported. Reports of inability to screen audio out, pickup down mine workings, Faraday cage having no effect etc make the hum different. Of those checked out, sometimes obvious causes like Transformers, docked ships, pumps etc are found, but many instances are left unexplained. The room node thing is probably a secondary enhancing effect. Just an opinion- like many others.
