As before this attempt uses a small vibrating mass modelled on the cilia of 
the inner ear. The mass is set vibrating and allowed to dissipate its 
energy along the normal exponential curve. Two arbitrary energy levels are 
marked on this curve and the period of time taken to pass these two levels 
is measured. The assumption being that if the energy of the Hum interacts 
with the vibrating mass there will be a variation in the period and that 
this variation will be a measure of the intensity of the Hum. I found that 
at any specific time the period could be measured within one tenth of a 
second using an electronic timer and within two tenths of a second using a 
stop watch. I have attached an Excel file with details made over 6 days. 
The time is GMT and the duration in seconds and decimal parts of a second.
