Dear Lidia

Thank you very much for the information.

I am trying to find a relation between the changes in the ionosphere and
the Hum experiences of others and myself.

There is a daily cycle where the Hum increases during the evening reaching
a maximum during the early hours and decreases again at dawn. However,
there are times when the Hum reaches a high level both day and night which
may last for several days. At other time the Hum may decrease to a very low
level and to some may appear to have gone completely.

The daily cycle can be accounted for by the effect of the Sun on the
rotating Earth and the other variations may be due to Sunspot activity.

>From what I have read the first is the 27 day Sunspot cycle due to the
rotation of the Sun, which incidentally is very close to the Moon cycle, a
subject which has been noted by many sufferers over the years. The 27 day
Sunspot cycle causes day-to-day variations which cannot be predicted.

There is also the 11 year Sunspot cycle that is well known and gives a
maximum and minimum every 11 years. By the method suggested by John Beaman
it may be possible to check this one by the numbers of Hum sufferers making
complaints on open forum web sites, to the media and possibly from the
archive records of local authorities.

These are only a few suggestions and there is much work to be done before
we have a positive answer.
