There are a great many questions to be answered concerning the variations in Hum level.
When I first began hearing the Hum many years ago it was sufficient to just step outside and find the Hum had disappeared completely, however I find this is no longer the case, I now have to move a hundred yards from a building to find the Hum level dropped. This could be the result of the Hum changing over the years, or what is much more likely, changes taking place in my own body. The size and shape of the buildings play a very important part in the Hum level, the worst Hum levels I have ever experienced were in two large country churches and a cathedral in the city center. The level was so high I found it impossible to remain inside, yet others in the congregation could hear nothing and viewed my action with suspicion. This is why I now concentrated on that which can be measured, using human beings as indicators cannot be relied upon.
