I have been recently asked the best way to raise the Hum problem with the authorities and I would like to relate my ow experience. I decided to put a question to the European Parliament and asked my MEP Caroline Jackson Doctor of Philosophy to put the question on my behalf. She was at the time Chairperson of the Environmental Health Committee which I thought very appropriate for dealing with this problem. I took pains to emphasise that this was more than just a noise and was effecting people in many countries of the EU. She tried many ways to block my efforts saying my question was not acceptable and poorly written but after several attempts I did get a question accepted albeit not in the form I had intended. A short while later she resigned her seat as an MEP and handed her unfinished work to the replacement MEP Ashley Fox, she sent to him an email concerning my efforts and either by accident or design I received a copy.
Dear Ashley Congratulations on your election and welcome to the wonderful world of looking after constituents. I rather think in the end that I gave this man short shrift as a time waster but I will forward the details to my research assistant who should be able to bring you up to date with it Yours Caroline Jackson MEP New House, Hanney Road, Southmoor Abingdon OX13 5HR 07785 938102 www.carolinejackson-mep.org.uk -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hum Sufferers" group.
