When an object undergoes acceleration, by the principle of relativity it 
will undergo a change of mass.
An object in a state of vibration will undergo a change of mass twice for 
each complete cycle of vibration.
If the vibration takes place in the presence of a gravity wave and if the 
frequency of vibration is of the same order as that of the gravity wave 
then the changing mass will interact with the gravity wave and the simple 
harmonic motion of the object will be modulated .
This modulation can be detected to show the presence and intensity of the 
Hum.
