When an object undergoes acceleration, by the principle of relativity it will undergo a change of mass. An object in a state of vibration will undergo a change of mass twice for each complete cycle of vibration. If the vibration takes place in the presence of a gravity wave and if the frequency of vibration is of the same order as that of the gravity wave then the changing mass will interact with the gravity wave and the simple harmonic motion of the object will be modulated . This modulation can be detected to show the presence and intensity of the Hum.
