I hear a hum that sounds similar. These posts say EM hum what does the EM stand for please? I have been hearing this noise for a few years now and the only way I can sleep with it is if I have a white noise machine by my bed to drown it out. Today someone suggested that it mat=y be our smart metre. So I googled and found this site. As my other half doesn't hear it he isn't bothered by it. Apart from preventing me from sleeping is it harmful in other ways?
