PATNA - A protest rally was taken out in the city last night by Civil rights groups, Social activists, Journalists, Cultural activists and Academicians in protest against the conviction of the eminent Human right activist Binayak sen under sedition charge. The protestors urged the Centre and Chhatisgarh government to immediately withdraw the charges against Binayak Sen. The rally was taken out from the AIR crossroad with high pitch slogan like “Binayak Sen ko reeha karo, Kaale kanoon wapas lo (Let free the Binayak Sen and withdraw all draconian laws), Muqaddma wapas lo(Withdraw the fabricated charges )” to Patna Junction Crossroad. The participant raised slogan in support of Binayak Sen. The rally was presided by the state PUCL president Father Philip Manthra. He urged the union government through addressing the rally that withdraw all draconian law like Unlawful Activities act1 967, Chhatisgarh Special Security Act.
