The Petition below for the release of Sudhir Dhawale
the Dalit activist falsely charged with Sedition must
be signed, even as we await the further hearing and
decision in the case of Dr. Binayak Sen .
Any one focussing on genuine grievances
of the weaker sections of society and atrocities
is being charged with Sedition, in particular if they
have in their libriary books of Dr. Karl Marx, Lenin
or Mao or they download articles on political and
economic questions on to the computer .
There is an attempt to impose thought control
which reflects the fascist control over society
for which there are historical parallels .
Defrauding of the revenues of the State and
requesting for foreign collaboration for
homeland Security against the Indian people
is not considered Seditious, neither is the making
of policy leading to serious malnutrition and
suicides of farmers or covert bomb blasts and
pogroms against minorities and Dalits and
other economically and socially weaker sections,
or seizing large tracts of tribal land or other land
in urban and rural India for private interests.
The Khap Panchayats have been opposing
the arrest of those who were responsible for
the torching of Dalit huts and murder of a Dalit
by upper castes , this however is also not SEDITION.
We await further reports on the hearings of
Dr. Binayak Sens's bail application from those
present in the Chhattisgarh High Court .
