1. Expert opinion the world over have categorically
and publicly ruled out the rational of locating a Nuclear
Power Plant in any seismic zone . This is apart from the
ongoing debate on the entire issue . Jaitapur is in a
Seismic Zone, apart from the fact that geologically
the entire strip of the narrow Konkan region and its
soil and rock structure are unstable .
2. Nuclear power in terms of the cost benefit
ratio is the most expensive apart from the
serious issue of the disposal of waste.
I am not too well . Still I shall try to make it. Please
inform Konkan Bachao Samiti of my solidarity .

activists have decided to have a PROTEST MORCHA against the proposed nuclear
power plant at Jaitapur on the Konkan coast and the Government's persistence in

The Protest morcha will start from Lower Parel Station (on Western Railway

and then go on to the road that leads to Sriram Mills, then on to Worli Naka,
where it will turn right into the Worli BDD Chawls area and finally culminate
in a public meeting at Ambedkar Maidan near Chawl 104.]
