Pseudo nationalism masquerading as religion , caste & community based violence , in its extreme form and just plain harassment & violation of ones civil and is not dead any where in the world & we can find such minor and major examples every where....from immediate violence to slow death of communities. In my view slow death of communities by the state in collusion with the majority is the greater danger as it escapes the notice of our daily news anchor.
In our neighborhood Pakistan minorities have reduced from around 5% in 1947 to less than 1% today in a country with one of the highest population growth in the world ...is just low sperm count at work here ? No one except Sunni's are safe even in the purely academic legal sense. There are many a laws that make sure you understand that there is no point even arguing with the majority member over a rightful place in the line to the common water tap . In practice they live in eternal fear , hanging like chicken , legs tied going for the slaughter in open view . Bangladesh too has reduced its Hindu population from 15% to less than 5% since independence . What has happened to tens of millions here is no less than a Holocaust , the numbers are far bigger here though than the WWII tragedy .
