Subject: [nrindians] Muslim representation in IPL
To: [email protected]

*It looks very improper to talk about communalism in cricket as this is a
game of gentlemen. But seeing the number of Muslim players selected in IPL,
I am compelled to say that IPL too is following the RSS policy to cut the
Muslim players from the roots. See these numbers.*

*Team No. of players
Muslims*
**
*1. Chennai Super Kings 25 1
*
*2. Deccan Chargers
27 0*
*3. Delhi Daredevils
29 2*
*4. Kings IX Punjab
23 0*
*5. Kochi Tuskers Kerala 26
0*
*6. Kolkata Knight Riders
20 3*
*7. Mumbai Indians 22
  2*
*8. Pune
Warriors 30 2*
*9. Rajsthan Royals
27 2*
*10. Royal Challengers Banglore 25 4*
**
*Total
254 16*
**
*Note: 3 players from Bangladesh and England are not included.*
*Out of 16, hardly 3 or 4 will play regularly, rest will rest in the
reserves.*
**
*After Zaheer, Munaf and Pathan there is no one even in the probables. *
*The test players come from Ranji, Duleep trophy etc. T20 and ODI national
players come from IPL etc. The school, university, local leagues etc are the
platforms wherefrom the players emerge for test, ODIs or T20. T**he policy
was adapted in the BJP period to block the Muslims from the root level. The
results are evident now. *
*
The Muslim players are shortlisted in the initial stages. Therefore, not
only in cricket, but in all other games hardly there is any Muslim player is
seen in any sports. Even in Hyderabad where there is a considerable number
of Muslim cricketers, hardly one or two players are given chance in Ranji.
People like Arshad Ayoub who weild good influence in local cricket bodies,
are afraid or inferiority complexed. They deliberately avoid pushing the
Muslim talent due to the fear of being labelled as playing Muslim
favoritism. *
