Our political system including what happens the inside the legislatures just an opportunistic , hypocritical talk fest with no connect to the people & problems we face. The whole media & every person is asking for solutions to the all pervasive corruption , mismanagement & deliberate the lack of accountability that the system has built in to keep it above the reach of law . It is a very clever plan that the political class has developed & perfected as governance model .
People fall in open manholes & die , no one is found accountable , our municipalities have thousands of employees , we have a sweeper employed down to the last meter of road side , police men too have their daily beat . Accident happens , the press takes it up for a day , we get a standard reply " no one is accountable" ...we wait for the next such event, Not one political party has offered a comprehensive solution problems we face daily . What are they so busy with if they say they represent us ?? As Anna & Kejriewal say the sarkari Bill is a cruel joke ... If there are any other words they too fit the system that feeds of the biggest collection of poor on the planet , a miserable lot of humanity denied basic economic means & devoid of food , education , medicines & justice . We may be less affected , may have built a mechanism to deal with it , but still let us give a serious thought to this big criminal theft & the conspiracy to avoid accountability & punishment. . These very same politicians responsible for the current situation are tying to find a way out of their predicament by counter questioning : What is civil society ? How can these 5 represent the civil society ? In a democracy the parliament is supreme . Corruption is a societal problem . The government has done a great job ...see Kalamdi , Raja is in jail etc. etc. A few of us are getting taken in by the talk too. How come they never answer the charges of of Anna & Team on their version LP bill or take it to their constituents for approval (1) As the sarkari version is devoid of any mechanism , it will not tackle corruption down the line that you , me & the poor face on a daily basis (2) That the mechanism to deter & punish frivolous complains is far toughener on the complainant than in any other judicial process (3) There is no provision for a state level Lok Ayukt on the lines of the Jan Lok Pal Bill (4) If PM is out in the name of stability then will CMs will be kept out too ...we know what corrupt CMs & PMs will keep doing this country (5) 7 years to finish the process is too long .
