Just on the Magsaysay piece - You've forgotten a fourth Magsaysay awardee in the whole Lokpal story - I think Aruna Roy is one, too? As is Medha Patkar and also Sandeep Pande? Perhaps they too are furthering US interests. Aruna is opposing Anna's stance on the Lokpal issue, while Medha is with Anna. Which Magsaysay awardee here is with the US agenda, and which is not?
I am not sure whether or not all these Magsaysay awardees are furthering US interests, though I join you in questioning the provenance of the award. But I do know without a shadow of doubt that foremost among those furthering US interests is the current Indian Government!
