Dear Friends,

Sorry for any cross posting.

We are very happy to inform that NCAS would be soon completing twenty years
of its excellent work in its pioneering role of people-centered advocacy,
capacity development of activists and pubic interest professionals and
campaign support.

Over a period of around two decades, NCAS has helped to nurture and support
the advocacy perspective. Human rights based approach and democratic
governance among more than ten thousand activists, professionals and leaders
in India and more than fifty countries across the world.

NCAS has been in the forefront of supporting key national campaigns such as
right to Information, land rights, and other human rights of the
marginalized people in India. The NCAS internship programme has provided
nurturing space for more than sixty young leaders- and a very significant
number of them are at influential positions in academia, media, civil
society and social movements in India and elsewhere. One of the distinctive
features of NCAS has been that it is one of the premier Institutions in
India and global south with a collective membership- and driven and owned by
some of the most respected civil society activists, social movements and
grassroots organisations in India. It is also one of the few organisations
with a record of smooth transition of leadership at the level of governance
and management.

Our present Executive Director Ms. Sehjo Singh would be leaving shortly for
compelling personal reasons.

We have put up a notice for the appointment of a new ED. Please find it
attached. The last date for applications is October 31, 2011.

We request you to kindly circulate this ad widely through your network to
enable us to reach a large a number of potential candidates as possible.
Knowing your interest in the wellbeing of NCAS, I am sure you would take out
the time and oblige us by accepting this request.

I look forward to your cooperation.

With regards

Subhash Mendhapurkar
