Dear friends, The workers of MSWU are going on a hunger strike for two days from tomorrow - Nov 7 and 8. The need to draw the attention of the Maruti Suzuki management, labour dept and Haryana administration is urgent for them. They are planning with a rare solidarity and co-ordination after waiting since quite some time now. All terminated workers will be on hunger strike outside the plant in Manesar. Those working inside will boycott lunch. Those in jail will also go on hunger strike. Those in jail have been threatened by some authorities today that they will be beaten very badly if they go on strike( but they are going ahead). The demands are for a fair and unbiased inquiry into the incident of July 18; taking back of all workers who have been illegally terminated; and against the torture of the 14 workers in custody in the first week of August. Please contact Ram Niwas if you have the phone number or simply land up there. Do inform press contacts you might have. Ranjana
