ArunA'S Fb status The accused D.P. Srivastava, IPS the then DIG PTS Meerut, is surrendering today before the Judicial Magistrate Meerut. You may recollect registered FIR against DIG Srivastava for harassment. Investigating Officer (IO) of the case, in connivance with the accused Srivastava had withdrawn the stringent penal provision of Section 354 IPC from the FIR with an oblique motive to facilitate accused Srivastava to secure bail. However, under immense public pressure and rigorous legal fight being fought with full rigor, the IO of the case has succumbed and has now re-invoked Section 354 IPC. After re-slapping of Section 354 IPC, accused Srivastava is surrendering today 10/07/2014 before the court.
