This group comprises of individuals from Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan. The Saakshi Project website is a platform to equip and empower civil society in South Asia in developing effective techniques and implementing best practice through which religious freedom violations in the region can be addressed. ‘Saakshi’ means ‘witness’ in several South Asian. We envision the website to bear ‘witness’ to issues relating to religious freedom in South Asia and more importantly, the variety of peaceful and creative solutions there exists.
