The current anguish of people of Kasganj (February 2018) is very revealing
about as to how communal riots are orchestrated. Lately tricolor and anti
Pakistan slogans are the tool in the hands of those who want to bring in
divisions in society. A section of media is also playing the role which
assists these nefarious designs. Two top officers this time did come out in
their face book posts, which had to be withdrawn later. The post states
that it has been a practice to take processions out in Muslim majority
area, waving tricolor and to shout anti Pakistan slogans! Are these people
not Indians? The tirnaga rally by ABVP-VPH youth waving saffron flags came
in the Shahid Abdul Hamid Chowk in Kasganj and asked the local organizers
of the program to remove their arrangements of chairs for the rally to
pass. The local citizens were planning the hoisting of tricolor. The local
Muslims asked the rally to join them and participate in the program. The
rally people kept insisting on chairs being removed, clash occurred and
then the violence followed taking the life of Chandan Gupta and severely
injuring another youth, Naushad, who is currently in hospital.

Now the questions comes, why this menacing coming to an area, where the
program is already to take place? Why insist on disrupting the program? The
state Governor has called the riot a blot, while state administration is
lazing with the incidents of violence going up and up. The so called fringe
is very assertive on issues of beef and now Tiranga; which is being used
for the purpose totally against the concept of tricolor. The hope is that
we resist these elements and restore the dignity of tricolor, which
symbolizes Indian nationalism, which is inclusive.
