Dear friends as you all know, several organisations and many individuals are joining the 2020 Walk to the Future performance parade in Mumbai on March 2nd. On the request of many peace-supporters the Artists Unite have very generously agreed to link up with us on the Global Standout on Peace in South Asia programme being organised in at least 30 cities across the world. The Artists Unite have been preparing for this event for months now, and will be performing a total of 40 tukris (performances) on this walk from Chaitya bhumi to Carter Road, for which the requisite police permission has been sought and attained, but only and specifically for the Performance Parade. In view of this and of course the current situation, we are sincerely requesting all organisations and individuals to please carry placards and posters (if they intend to do so) ONLY related to Peace, Harmony, CND and South Asia Solidarity: NO names of organisations and institutions; NO banners, NO political slogans, NO Party placards. Authorities have already begun calling and communicating this, and there is no way we should put this Performance Walk in jeopardy of any kind. Hoping very very much that all will adhere to these requests and ensure that the Walk is carried out in peace.
